Laptop Vs Desktop

A nice article, check out: http://hffo.cuna.org/12433/article/1122/html

but from my perspective, it depends

I would like to watch movies and connect audio jack to the speaker with a mini size notebook laptop where ever I go.

As a developer I need to use if for my work too, It is not a big deal running my linux and all other programs. Considering the speed also it doesnt bother me much as I do run only the necessary things not loading my full memory by multiprocessing.

A laptop can also be used as a Desktop by connecting Video port to and place it just as a CPU and start your work for the convenience of the user. You can have a wireless Keyboard&mouse, External hard disk, External DVD Driver too for the slimer notebook. Everything become portable.

Considering the cost it is going to be 20% - 30% higher than just a full fledged non-portable desktop PC. But the protability and adaptability you cant get it with desktop. We all move forward but need the backward compatibility with technology so think about that before you buy a laptop.

It is just my opinion with my experience of what I want from Desktop and Laptop.
