The Importance of a Definite Goal

One of the primary obstacles to success is the lack of a definite aim – knowing what you want to achieve or attain. The lack of a definite aim results in either doing nothing, or starting one thing and then quitting and starting something else. This kind of behavior doesn’t lead to success. You can achieve more and better results when you define your goal, big or small, and work toward achieving it.

You cannot get anywhere, if you don’t know what you want. Many start in one direction without much thinking, but after some time realize that they don’t really want what they have been pursuing, and switch to something else. If you don’t know exactly what you want, you cannot attract it into your life.

One focused on a definite goal is like a person who sees his destination at the end of the road, and walks straight toward it, while one without a definite goal doesn’t know in which direction to go, and either stands still in one spot, or keep changing directions, and consequently wasting time and energy and getting nowhere.

Aiming at a definite goal is like focusing the lenses of a binocular or a microscope. You need to focus the lenses in order to see clearly, because otherwise you will see a blurred image. It is the same with visualization; you need to focus on a clear aim in order to attract it into your life.

It is usually not so simple to define goals, and most people don’t really know what they want. You need a clear and detailed mental picture in order to focus and direct your mental energy toward the realization of your goal. To do this, you need to know exactly what you want, and not behave like a blindfolded person standing at a crossroads not knowing which direction to take. Only when you know both the destination and the direction you can proceed in the shortest and most direct way.

Thirukural a world literature

"Tirukkural is the life, Tiruvasagam is the heart, and Tirumandiram is the soul of Tamil culture..." Swami Shivananda - On the Tirukkural

Thirukural written by Thiruvalluvar consists of three books, the first book on aram (the way or dharma), the second on porul (material or artha) and the third on inbam (joy or kama).

We could have come across lot of literatures, what special about this one ? Why should we call it as a world literature ?

The point which i can say simply about it is "Its a single literature which explains moral of life with different category, which the whole world can accept without any refute"

we say, geetha given to human by god
thiruvasagam given to god by human
Its only Thirukural, which is given to human by human

Translated version follow:
http://www.tamilnation.org/literature/kural/kuralE1.htm

If you have any question how you should act/react, you can just refer Thirukural
I'm very much surprised and impressed about author Thiruvalluvar that he has the visionary of human evolution, long years ago. You can find out all statements suits all times and without loosing moral of life. His words are stronger in this literature it is really a great treasure for the whole world.

Little more info about literature, It was written in Tamil, author followed all the grammatical/rhyming rules. It has 1330 kural(statements), each kural has 7 tamil words 4 in 1st line, 3 in second/last line. Thats what amazing about the author.

Youth and Internet

I just thought of sharing things which I have been observing with 16-19 age students. I'm afraid and worried of their future, since most of them lost their way in internet wrongly.

Just searching and finding friends, emal, chat or social networking it is not a problem but then most of them addicted to it, thats where the problem starts.
if you want to check out yourself that you have

Pronography in internet, As I know lot and lot of people affected by this.
We know future is in hand of students/youth as swami vivekananda said, but lot many students are leading a wrong life with the lack of knowledge and it is a big threat to their future.

The parents who search money and run behind it, should spend time, take responsibility to ensure this kind of problems can be avoided by guiding them. Building/Teaching morals is more important for students rather than teaching how to earn money.

In general ignorance is the what makes human life to lead it wrong, Humans make mistake and learn from it and the learning has to be carry forwarded to other people thats how human evolved. With www(world wide web) It is also important to know what we should do and what we should avoid. Remember for people in ignorance: ignorance is blissfull, but later it will become painful.

What is more important, your standard of living or living a life with correct standards?

Laptop Vs Desktop

A nice article, check out: http://hffo.cuna.org/12433/article/1122/html

but from my perspective, it depends

I would like to watch movies and connect audio jack to the speaker with a mini size notebook laptop where ever I go.

As a developer I need to use if for my work too, It is not a big deal running my linux and all other programs. Considering the speed also it doesnt bother me much as I do run only the necessary things not loading my full memory by multiprocessing.

A laptop can also be used as a Desktop by connecting Video port to and place it just as a CPU and start your work for the convenience of the user. You can have a wireless Keyboard&mouse, External hard disk, External DVD Driver too for the slimer notebook. Everything become portable.

Considering the cost it is going to be 20% - 30% higher than just a full fledged non-portable desktop PC. But the protability and adaptability you cant get it with desktop. We all move forward but need the backward compatibility with technology so think about that before you buy a laptop.

It is just my opinion with my experience of what I want from Desktop and Laptop.

Why Most Twitter Users Give Up ?

A study by Nielsen Online states that more than 60 percent of new Twitter users give up on the service a month after signing up. This doesn't surprise me. The more I use Twitter, the more I realize it isn't for everyone. Why? Because most people really don't care what you're doing. And you don't care what they're doing, either.

Twitter has gotten oodles of media attention lately, and I'm guessing that many users are signing up just to see what the ruckus is about. If Oprah and Ashton Kutcher use Twitter, it must be worth checking out, right? But once the newbies spend a few days telling the world what they're doing in 140-character bursts -- or reading mind-numbing "I'm-at-the-market" updates from friends and family -- the novelty wears off in a hurry.

Use Any Internet Browser on your Computer Without Installation

Do you want to:

a. Carry a portable version of your favorite web browser on the USB drive? It could be Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari or even Opera.

b. Simultaneously run multiple versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox on the same computer side-by-side without any hacks.

c. Test the new design of your website in all popular browsers without having to rely on an online service like Browser Shots?

d. You don’t have permissions to install new software on the office computer? How do you then use Safari or Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer?

e. You have heard lot of good things about Internet Explorer 8 but since that browser is still in beta, you don’t want to override your existing installation of IE 7. How do you then try IE 8 without uninstalling IE 7?

f. You love Browser A but some of your favorite websites only open in Browser B. How can you access these websites without installing B?

Now if you said yes to any of the above questions, all you need is Xenocode - it’s an awesome platform that helps you run any web browser on your computer without installation. Simply download an executable from the Xenocode website and double-click to run that web browser.

Xenocode provides ready-to-use packages for Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 6-8 and Firefox 2-3. Xenocode WebApps also let you run multiple application versions side-by-side on any version of Windows.

If you were using virtual machines with VMWare or Microsoft Virtual PC just for testing browser compatibility, it may be a good idea to switch to Xenocode browser as they are fast and you don’t have to wait for the virtual machine to boot up.

E-Mail Address protector

Spam-lists are generated by Spam-Crawlers and Spam-Bots. These computers only purpose is to constantly comb the web in search of email addresses to add to their lists. Thankfully they are in such a rush to keep up with the massive amount of web content that they ignore everything but the plain text of each site. Executing JavaScripts would be a waste of processor cycles, but that efficiency will help to protect our email.

It is simple, but make sure you follow in your web development to get rid of the attack from spammers.

21st-century life's too short for dial-up

I recently had someone ask me how I could justify paying what, to her, seemed like an exorbitant amount of money for my broadband Internet connection.

This is bit interesting, we notice only the expense we make for broadband, but it could be more than that too.
